During your time in Le Havre, set out on an excursion to the seaside town of Honfleur, renowned for its picturesque harbor and an inspirational site for Impressionist painters.
During the afternoon, you can join a city tour of the UNESCO-designated Le Havre. Alternatively, you can choose to go on a bike tour through Le Havre.

Experience the Normandy region with a variety of excursions. For those wishing to go to the American sector of the historic Normandy Beaches, you will visit the cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Omaha Beach, the artillery battery at Longues-sur-Mer, and the village of Arromanches, where the remains of the floating harbor used during WWII landings can be seen.
If you prefer, you can tour the Gold and Juno beaches in the British and Canadian sectors, where you will visit Ranville Cemetery, Pegasus Bridge, the Canadian cemetery at Beny-sur-Mer, the WWII museum in Courseulle, and finally, Arromanches.
Alternatively, you can set out on a full-day excursion to the delicious Pays d’Auge region of Normandy, where apple cider, Calvados, and pommeau outrank French wine. If you wish to experience a different kind of inspiration in Caudebec-en-Caux, you can journey back in time with the interactive exhibits and vessels at the Seine Museum.

Spend the morning enjoying medieval Rouen with a choice of several excursions.
Join a walking tour and see the square where Joan of Arc was martyred, as well as the Medieval Quarter and Great Clock. You also have the choice to go on the “Tastes of Normandy” tour, where you’ll be treated to the delicious flavors of the region, including chocolate, Norman cheese, and cider; or get active by going on a guided bike tour.
Then visit Bonnemare Castle, a 16th-century architectural treasure lined with picturesque poplar trees.

Enjoy scenic cruising around Vernon before disembarking the ship for your excursion. You will have a choice of three excursions, depending on your interests.
Visit Claude Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny. Art lovers will immediately recognize images immortalized in Monet’s most beloved paintings—such as water lilies, Japanese bridges and graceful willow trees. Wander around his famous gardens and home where he lived for more than four decades.
Visit the regal 18th-century Château de Bizy, inspired by the opulence of Versailles. Enjoy an escorted tour of the palace and gardens.
If you prefer a more active adventure, go on a guided bike tour, taking in the beautiful French countryside.

Travel to Auberge Ravoux in the heart of Auvers-sur-Oise, the last home of artist Vincent van Gogh. His spirit still lingers in his former attic rooms at the Ravoux Inn. The mere 70 days Van Gogh spent in Auvers-sur-Oise were astonishingly prolific as he painted more than 70 works here before his death.
Or enjoy the exquisite architecture of the Château de Malmaison, the former home of Napoleon and Josephine Bonaparte, also known as "the most beautiful and curious garden in Europe."
Active travelers may instead choose to pedal through Paris from the seat of their bike on a guided cycling tour.
In the afternoon, experience the “City of Light” from a unique perspective when you board a modern river boat at the Port de la Bourdonnais, located on the banks of the Seine River near the Eiffel Tower. With exterior seating and viewing platforms, your one-hour cruise will be a dream come true as you glide along the river and underneath Paris’s ornate bridges.
From the boat, you will take in panoramic views of the city’s iconic buildings and monuments, including the Musee d’Orsay and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

* indicates French balcony feature. French balconies open up to a railing—flush with the exterior wall—instead of a platform, so that you may enjoy fresh air and river views, without the risk of stepping out off the side of the ship.
Payment Plans
TOTAL CRUISE PAYMENT (does not include any other purchases such as travel insurance, pre and post bookings, etc.) and paid by credit card:
Cruise Registration Fee ($500 per single cabin/$1,000 per double cabin) FOR EACH CRUISE SELECTED collected when registering.
Cruise Booking Deposit ($1,000 per person/$2,000 per cabin, with a credit of the Registration Fee) upon confirmation of the cruise.
Monthly Payment Plans (10 monthly payments) and Standard Payment Plans (4 payments throughout the year) will be available for the remaining amount due – beginning March 2025 through December 2025.
All fees are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
All payments made are non-refundable at the time of payment. Guests are urged to purchase Travel Insurance when your Cruise Booking Deposit is made to offset this risk. Our travel agent will be offering this to all our guests as an option when you make your deposit. NOTE: In the event that you cannot attend, you can transfer your reservation for a fee of $200 PER PERSON. The monetary arrangements are between you and the person taking your place. We can pick up payments, if mid payment year, for a transfer.
What this means: When you make any payment – the registration fee $1,000, completed $2,000 cruise booking deposit, monthly payments, or the four payments standard plan, that money is not refundable.
For example, if you pay your registration fee here, the cruise is confirmed, and if you cancel prior to completing your deposit, you will lose the $1,000 registration fee.
For example, if you pay your registration fee here, make your cruise booking deposit and you cancel prior to your first regular due payment, you will lose the registration fee and the entire cruise booking deposit.
For example, if you pay the registration fee here, make your cruise booking deposit and one of the monthly payments, you will lose the registration fee, cruise booking deposit and first month's payment.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By registering, you understand and accept the following terms.
I understand that all prices are PER PERSON, based on double occupancy, and include administrative costs, taxes, gratuities, port charges and fees FOR THE CRUISE.
I understand that my cruise booking deposit here is for TWO people in a cabin. ONE registration is ONE cabin for TWO people - except for a very limited number of Single cabins. If I need more than one cabin OF THE SAME TYPE, I will need to complete one registration and do a second registration if I desire the same cabin type.
My credit card will be charged by AMA WATERWAYS for the payments when the cruise is confirmed. These payments are for Rick Braun's River Cruise Getaway ONLY (i.e. the seven day cruise on the AmaDante).
I understand that I will be responsible for all other fees for travel to and from the ship and any other activities I chose to do while on this trip. NOTE: We also offer transfers and additional pre and post cruise hotel/activities, for an additional fee.

I assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of my destination and connecting points, and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destinations. Many countries require that the passport be valid for six months or more after date of entry. Some countries will not admit persons convicted of a crime. I assume full and complete responsibility for health-related requirements that travel suppliers and governments may impose from time to time, such as health affidavit forms, health screenings prior to departure or upon arrival, face coverings, vaccinations, or quarantines.
